APHysio, LLC is owned and operated by Amy Price Hoover, PT, DPT. Amy graduated from Ohio University in 1998 with a BA in Pre-Physical Therapy. She attended graduate school near Chicago at Rosalind Franklin University and graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2002. Since then she has worked in the outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting, including both private practice and hospital/health system based. Early on in her career, she focused her continuing education on manual therapy and women's health related courses. She participated in a mentoring based training program for pelvic floor physical therapy and has been practicing this since 2004. She also helped to start a physical therapy practice within a large Ob/Gyn practice in Chicago, where she continued her specialization in women's health and pelvic floor.
APHysio LLC was formed in 2018. With the health care and insurance industry becoming ever-changing, Amy saw the need for a provider that would focus on the patient in a one-on-one setting. She provides in home specialty services, focusing on hands on manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription. Amy has a special interest and extensive experience in the prenatal/postnatal and women's health patient population. She also has a strong background in orthopedic and sports-related injuries, working with athletes of all levels in various team and individual sports.
When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her husband and two children or any of her various pets. Amy is an animal lover and also enjoys being an amateur equestrian, along with her daughter. Some of her other interests include running, gardening, enjoying local craft brews and listening to true crime and human interest podcasts.
Amy will provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment as well as a recommended plan of care, right in the comfort and convenience of your own home. She can work with your physician or health care provider to communicate any findings and recommended treatment plans.
